Lifeline radios don't need batteries or electricity ,They function by clockwork or using solar energy.Today's 'The World is Turning' talks to South African Kristine Pearson who is the head of The Freeplay Foundation which hands out Lifeline radios to African children. The children who are mainly orphans have access through the radio to educational programs .With music from the five continents.
