Heute zu Weihnachten gibts statt besinnlichen Weihnachslieder ein Spezial zu Liedern von, mit und über Hunde * dogs * les chiens * los perros etc.

Es treten auf: Little Dogs, Brown Dogs, White Dogs, Mad Dogs, Pariah Dogs, Rain Dogs, Suburban Dogs besungen von bekannten Musikern wie Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Sonic Youth oder den Sugarcubes, Californisches von den Growlers und Real Estate, Obskures von Bobby Brown, Ignatz oder Uke of Spaces Corners, Meditatives von Vincent Gallo, Esmerine oder the Caretaker.

Und es als Intro wird die Retriver Hündin Madeleine singen, die bei einem Pink Floyd Song berühmt wurde, als sie zum Blues ins Mikro heulte.

Nicht zuletzt möchte ich heute nach fast 10 Sendungen den Namen der Sendung etwas beleuchten und es werden auch Auszüge aus John Fante´s Roman "Ich, Arturo Bandini"/"Ask the Dust" gelesen über die fiktive Kurzgeschichte der Romanfigur "The Little Dog Laughed" und zum Schluss auch Texte von Paul Austers "Timbuktu", den vielleicht schönsten Hunderoman ever.
