New and forgotten ways of making radio from Europe and beyond.

Missing & Borders Quand le LA n'est pas là

(when the F is missing). by DJP for Radio Panik, Brussels.

The piece is a kind of pseudo scientific conference about Fmajor, a surrealistic, pata-conference. The talking part is in french, but anyone can get his point very quickly. How occidental music could have been much different if it was not for this Fmajor obsession. Une bonne écoute

Mixing Borders

From Resonance104.4.fm, London

Listening to the radio is like traveling and when you travel you cross borders. How does it sound when you mix borders? Borders on your map, borders in your head. Enjoy a cup of tea, or a good cognac, while listening to Mixing Borders.

Produced by Selma Gültoprak, Keiko Takahashi, David Hahlbrock, Franziska Windisch, Julia Weißenberg and Oliver Salkic.

This show is one of the outcomes of the Airtime seminar at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne.

Radia

is a network of independent radio stations who have a common interest in promoting and producing artworks for the radio, and in forming related projects based on broadcasting and cultural exchange. We produce a weekly radio show that is broadcast by each of the member radio stations. Our shows represent the local artistic community of each station, whilst at the same time these new works point to an emergent collective notion of self-determined art for radio.
